Non-use of the amenities is not a justification for not paying your annual general assessment.
When you purchased your home the deed you signed at closing binds and obligates you to pay the annual general assessment in accordance with the Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&R's). You, the deed holder, are legally and contractually bound to comply with the CC&R's. The annual general assessments paid to the Greystone Homeowners Association go directly towards the operation, maintenance and upkeep of the common areas, and is an obligation of every deed holder regardless of use.
Note: Those renting a property in the Greystone subdivision are not responsile for paying the annual general assessment unless it unless it was included in the rental agreement. Those renting a property are not entitled to use the amenities (pool, tennis court, or rental of the Community Center) unless the owner's account has a zero balance.
